Talk, Reading, Q&A

In the seaside town of Rockport, Lucy and her best friend Fred create a nature guide about the local wildlife for a school project. After a fisherman catches a great white shark and a fatal swimming accident occurs, Lucy wants to learn more about her late mother, a marine biologist, and the mysterious shark. This impressive debut novel, told in poetic language and infused with subtle humor, is an original exploration of the urge to explore, coming to terms with grief, and making friends.
